The Maroubra Neighbourhood Children's Centre is a community-based not-for-profit childcare centre run by a Parent Committee who donate their time and expertise to oversee the operation of this Centre.
Parent involvement is a requirement and is crucial to the success of the Centre. The Committee is responsible for policy direction, overseeing financial management, ensuring that all legal requirements are met and for staff selection.
Parent Meetings are run monthly, and it is expected that all parents attend at least 3 Parent Meetings a year. In addition, offering your time at 3 essential activities a year (Fundraising BBQs and/or Working Bees) is mandatory. Assistance with excursions is welcomed, help for social activities is always appreciated, and participation in other fundraising activities is always encouraged.
